Marvin Johnson is accused of killing Anthony Joliff

MEMPHIS, TN- (WMC-TV) - Neighbors are opening up about the man who was killed in his own driveway while unloading groceries. They are also talking about the man who is accused of killing him.

The man accused of pulling the trigger is known as "Pig" in the neighborhood. But friends say Marvin Johnson ("Pig") is a "great guy" and a longtime resident of East Kings Valley Cove.

Shelby County sheriff's deputies say Johnson shot and killed a neighbor's boyfriend, Anthony Joliff, as he unloaded groceries. The two had been involved in an ongoing dispute.

About two hours prior to the deadly shooting, neighbor Patrice Savage says she saw Joliff chase Johnson down the street with a gun. Neighbors tried to intervene but say they saw Joliff hiding behind a black sedan.

"He waited on him about 45 minutes behind the car, waiting on him (Johnson) to walk out," said Savage. "Just kinda crouched behind the car."
