Help Make a Splash Mid-South win $5,000 | Community Spirit

(WMC-TV) – The Mid-South arm of a national group that promotes water safety is competing against four other chapters for a big cash prize and a visit from an Olympic swimmer.
Make a Splash Mid-South is competing against four other groups for the chance to win a visit from Olympic gold medalist Cullen Jones. As exciting as a visit from an Olympian may be, the other portion of the prize is the really big deal - a $5,000 grant to provide free swimming instruction to local kids.
“The way this community has embraced water safety is truly something to celebrate,” said Anthony Norris, board chair of Make a Splash Mid-South. “In four years, we’ve taught 3,000 kids to swim, more than 300 parents know CPR and 50 teens are now lifeguards.”
But, the group needs the public’s help to win the prize.
Participating chapters had to produce a video for the contest and now it’s up to the public to decide which video should win.
