More than 1000 bicycles to be given away to elementary school students | Community Spirit

 

The Life Church is hosting a Christmas Bicycle give-away this Saturday for the students at three schools in North Memphis.

Thanks to sponsorships from Huffy Bicycles, FedEx, and numerous volunteers and donors, The Life Church will give away over 1000 brand new, age appropriate bikes.

The Life Church is a School Adoptor of several schools in the 38108 zip code, and have been a part of the community through numerous partnerships with the city, local churches, and community leaders in the region.

Each week, The Life Church goes into the Nutbush, Douglass, Hollywood, and Hyde Park communities to distribute free groceries to over 2300 children.

Many of the children in these areas participate in government sponsored free/reduced breakfast and lunch programs through the schools, and these groceries help the parents provide snacks and meals to feed their children over the weekend.
