Arson causes minor damage to apartments | Crime
(WMC-TV) – Investigators say an arsonist was behind a fire that damaged an apartment building in the 3300 block of Steel Street Monday afternoon.
Fire crews responded to the flames just befpre 2 p.m. and were able to quickly extinguish the flames.
No one was injured when the abandoned car was set on fire and eventually spread to the apartment building, according to the Memphis Fire Department.
The fire caused about $3,000 in damage to the building.
No one is in custody for the arson.
