Swimming lessons coming to Bickford Community Center | Events

North Memphis Community Development Corporation (NMCDC) in partnership with Parks and Neighborhoods are providing free swimming lessons at the Bickford Community Center at 233 Henry Ave.

The lessons are offered to low-income families with youth ages 6-17 for two weeks.  NMCDC will continue accepting applications until July 15, or until all openings are filled.

“Our goal is to inform and combat children’s health surrounding pool safety in a fun and accessible environment,” said Andrea Curry, the program’s manager. “We hope to continue engaging the youth with healthy practices and activities that will promote overall health.”
