Bayou Square fire still under investigation | News

(WMC-TV) - Investigators are still trying to determine what caused a fire that caused about $10,000 in damage to an apartment Tuesday morning.

Firefighters were called to the vacant Bayou Square Apartments, 3232 Millington Rd., just after midnight Tuesday.

Flames could be seen coming from the two-story apartments as crews made the scene, according to fire department officials.

Fire crews were able to extinguish the flames in about 20 minutes, but one unit still suffered about $10,000 in damage.

Officials are still investigating the fire and haven't determined what sparked the flames.
