Parents focus of MCS workshops | Schools

(WMC-TV) – Memphis City Schools is in the business of educating the city’s children, but the district will turn its attention to adults this weekend.

MCS will host its annual Exceptional Children Parent Summit on May 19 at 2 p.m. at Colonial Middle School.

The meeting offers several workshops for the parents of students with disabilities.

Joe Fisher, Tennessee Department of Education assistant commissioner for special education, will be the event’s guest speaker.
