Copper thieves put a popular Memphis restaurant out of business Thursday.
The owners of Carnival Foods had to throw away $3,000 worth of spoiled food.
"Don't bother my business 'cause I work too hard. I'm standing here from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day," said owner Lynette Hill in tears.
Hill says when she came into work Thursday morning the utilities were off.
The criminals are seen on surveillance video breaking into the store around midnight and stripping it of the copper wire
Employees were able to hook up a generator and open for a few hours. MLGW will begin to work on the damage as soon as they obtain a permit.
