Kelsey Jacobson is the Digital Content Director at Action News 5.  Her experience in broadcast journalism began in 2002 in Grand Forks, North Dakota where she worked as a production assistant, associate producer, and a news reporter at WDAZ-TV.

She is a very proud Fighting Sioux alumn and hockey fan having graduated magna cum laude from the University of North Dakota in 2007.

She made her way to Boise, Idaho and started her career at KTVB after graduating from UND.  She began producing the Midday News at Noon, and ended up producing the News at Six, Today’s Morning News, and from there, was promoted to oversee KTVB.COM.

Kelsey was honored with an Emmy Award from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in 2008.   She has also received three other Emmy nominations, and a first place Idaho Press Club award for best multimedia reporting.  She is also a two-time national Edward R. Murrow Award winner.

Kelsey made the move to Memphis to become Action News 5's Digital Content Director in April 2012.
